Warranty Policy

Coastal Cruisers: 

 At Coastal Cruiser Bikes, we take great pride in the quality and durability of our products. We’re confident that you will be impressed as well, and we stand behind all of our products. Every bike we sell is covered by a limited warranty against Manufacturer Defects, subject to exclusions noted herein. This warranty is only valid in the United States.

  • WARRANTY PERIOD: Subject to certain limitations, new products purchased directly from Coastal Cruiser (“Products”) are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship (“Manufacturer Defects”) for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase or delivery date, or 1000 Miles - whichever is first (“Warranty Period”).  Replacement parts used in warranty repairs will be warranted for the balance of the applicable Warranty Period.
  • NON-TRANSFERABLE: This warranty is not transferable in any way and may not be exercised by anyone other than the original retail buyer (“Customer”) of the Products. Customer will be required to furnish the original receipt of purchase when filing a claim under this warranty.
  • WHAT’S COVERED: As part of its New Bike Guarantee, Coastal Cruiser will provide full replacement of any defective parts/components with free shipping within the first 30 days of purchase.  After 30 days, the Customer is responsible for all return shipment costs to Coastal Cruiser. This warranty applies only to Products, parts, and components manufactured, assembled, and sold as new by Coastal Cruiser.  The following components are covered under this warranty against Manufacturer Defects: Drive unit, Frame, Batteries, Mechanical components, Electrical components.

WHAT’S NOT COVERED:

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of the Products.  Furthermore, this warranty will not cover any damage resulting from the abuse or neglect of the Products.  Examples of abuse and neglect include, but are not limited to:

  • Racing or competition use, modification of original parts, abnormal strain.
  • Water damage.
  • Lack of proper maintenance, installation of parts or accessories that are not equivalent in design and quality to genuine Coastal Cruiser parts (“Incompatible Parts”)
  • Use of lubricants that are not suitable for e-bike use.
  • Damage as a result of accidents, collisions, road hazards, or operation on surfaces, such as stairs, not intended for conventional e-bike use; damage from external factors such as salt air or saltwater, bird droppings, or chemicals.
  • Commercial applications, such as transporting cargo, delivering newspapers, and rentals.
  • Temporary decrease in power or distance that can be traveled on a single battery charge, due to operating conditions such as ambient temperatures, load, inclines, frequent starting and stopping, and normal system-protection functions, as well as temperature-related performance of the battery charger.
  • Normal deterioration, including the gradual decrease of battery capacity over the warranty period as long as the battery capacity is still 50% or more of the initial capacity before the warranty expiration and the total number of battery charging cycles is 200 or less. Other normal deterioration includes natural fading of painted or plated surfaces, and cosmetic ozone or weather cracking in tires.

Any non-warranty work done concurrently with a warranty repair/replacement will be subject to ordinary parts/labor fees.

WARRANTY VOID:

The following are circumstances that will void this warranty:

  • Products that have been lent, leased, or rented commercially.
  • Damage incurred due to the use of a third-party battery charger.
  • Loss or damage incurred due to the Customer choosing their own shipping option or if the bike is shipped using a freight forwarder or similar service.
  • Products that have been altered without the approval of Coastal Cruiser.
  • Products with alterations or additions of non-original or Incompatible Parts.
  • Damage to or failure of Products resulting from weather or excessive wear and tear.
  • Theft, robbery, vandalism, incidental, consequential, or intentional damage, as well as damage resulting from Customer’s abuse or neglect of the Product.
  • Products that have been used or transported improperly (e.g., exceeding maximum weight recommendation).
  • Products with damage resulting from improper maintenance (e.g., storing battery fully discharged over the winter).
  • Products with an electrical component that has been opened, altered, partially or completely disassembled, except by Coastal Cruiser or their authorized service providers.
  • Products that have been disassembled in a manner not authorized by Coastal Cruiser or that have had repairs attempted by anyone not authorized by Coastal Cruiser.
  • Products that have been damaged due to improper adjustment or maintenance.

EXCLUSIONS:

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY NATURE. Coastal Cruiser MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES RELATED TO THE PRODUCTS. ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED UNDER ANY APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. ALL WARRANTIES, WRITTEN, ORAL, OR IMPLIED, ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE PERIOD AND TERM OF THIS WARRANTY. THE LAWS OF SOME REGIONS REQUIRE DIFFERENT OR LONGER TERMS FOR WARRANTIES OR PROHIBIT CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTIES. THIS WARRANTY PROVIDES THE CUSTOMER WITH SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, WHICH MAY VARY FROM STATE TO STATE, COUNTRY TO COUNTRY, OR REGION TO REGION.

CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY:

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that Products are properly operated, maintained and stored as specified in the Owner’s Manual.  The Customer must notify Coastal Cruiser of any and all apparent defects to the Products within 7 days of discovery.  In submitting a warranty claim, the Customer must provide specifics of any and all apparent defects, including photos and supporting evidence, as requested.  Failure to provide information or other details as requested may result in a warranty claim being denied.

Coastal Cruiser is not responsible for providing a box or packing materials for shipping if any parts need to be returned to Coastal Cruiser as part of the Warranty Claims Process.  Coastal Cruiser is not liable for any loss resulting from the transport of Products to Coastal Cruiser under a warranty claim.  Therefore, it is highly recommended that the Customer obtain insurance to cover the replacement cost when shipping Products back to Coastal Cruiser.

If it is suspected that any Product is defective, do not attempt to repair or replace it yourself or to have it repaired or replaced before contacting Coastal Cruiser directly — doing so may invalidate the warranty and may cause additional damage, not necessarily limited to the Products at issue.  Furthermore, such action may create the risk of injury or death.

Proof of purchase is required before a warranty claim is processed.

Dirwin:

The 12-month warranty starts when the initial owner of the bike has received it. The 12-month warranty starts from the moment the initial owner receives the product.

Ecotric:

To make a warranty claim always keep handy the E-Bike model, date of purchase, E-Bike serial number as well as the original order number from our website.

Every ECOTRIC electric bicycle purchased on our website comes with an 18-month warranty (In the period of 18 months from purchase by Official Authorized Store) against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship on its frame, battery, motor, controller, and display.

This warranty applies only to the original buyer of the ECOTRIC bicycle and is not transferable under any circumstances. The original buyer refers to the buyer who can provide the order number.

This limited warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, malfunctions, or failures due to abuse, neglect, improper repair, improper maintenance, alteration, modification, damage or failure due to accident or other improper use, installation of third-party components, parts, or accessories, or any products that have been modified from manufacturer’s specifications. The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of improper charger, improper maintenance or other such misuse, normal wear or water damage.

It is important that you register within 30 days after the original purchase to activate the warranty, all fields are required to successfully submit your registration form.

Terms and Conditions:

For your reference, please refer to below comprehensive warranty:

1. Frame – are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for 18 months from purchase by Official Authorized Store. Paint finish is considered consumable and is not part of the warranty.

2. Display, Controller and Motor Assembly – are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 18 months from purchase.

3. Original Batteries – Provide free warranty service from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 18 months from the date of purchase. The battery is sealed and cannot be opened or fixed. The battery should not have a percentage of nominal charge retention of 60% or less. Misuse of the battery, negligence or attempt to open or repair it will void the warranty.

4. General: The bicycle is backed up by an 18-month main warranty, certain components listed on this chart, or consumables may be subject to a different period of coverage or not included in this warranty.

5. Consumables: Components subject to wear are not covered by the warranty: Tires, inner tubes, brake lever, brake caliper, brake lines, brake pads, basket, wheel lining tape, light bulbs, LEDS, fuses, etc.

Exclusions: The other parts are Normal wear parts which are excluded from this warranty. If any parts happen to be damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately after shipment arrival. ECOTRIC will send a replacement part at our expense and will work with you to fix the issue. Please note that for warranty issues, the customer is responsible for the cost of labor to install warrantied components, however, we will cover the Shipping costs of warranty parts.

If the warranty is void for any reason the customer shall bear any repair or replacement costs resulting from vehicle misuse, negligence or abuse.
Always follow care and preventive maintenance procedures.
Always keep receipts from any services performed to the vehicle by an authorized distributor or service center.
The warranty will be voided by any of the following circumstances:

  1. Failure to follow all directions or recommendations listed in the user manual.
  2. Cycling collision, accident or vehicle damage caused by careless parking 
  3. Acts in violation of laws 
  4. Never registered your ebike or cannot provide the order number
  5. DIY repairs on electronics
  6. Abusive use the bicycle in off-road terrain, mud, snow, water, sand, gravel and water
  7. If the bicycle is used as rental unit 
  8. Damages caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, flooding and other hazards.
  9. Rust and/or paint fading caused to heavy exposure to rain, hail, snow or direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
  10. Overloading beyond recommended capacity.
  11. Damages caused by nails, needles, broken glass, debris, sharp rocks or other foreign objects.
  12. If the bicycle is used but not limited to stunts, jumping from ramps, stairs or elevated ramps.
  13. If vehicle is used in competitions or racing.
  14. If vehicle has been modified for any purposes on the motor, electrical system, suspension frame, and battery.
  15. Use of other components not approved by the manufacturer.
  16. Damages resulted from improper care and handling.

Due to the nature of the product some components must be exclusive from the manufacturer such as but not limited to the battery, motor, main gauge cluster, controllers, Led headlights, brake drums or disc rotors and pads etc. Other components such as tires, tubes, saddle, racks, baskets may be used from market-ready or compatible products previous approval from the retailer or manufacturer.

Eunorau requires you to register your Product right after the purchase. This will ensure your any after-sale claims to process faster and more accurately. Warranty (eunorau-ebike.com)

Eunorau's 24-Month+ Warranty only covers manufacturing defects and does not include usual wear & tear and labor cost.

Eunorau complimentary continues to support the Product after the Warranty as a manufacturer courtesy and may only ask for shipping costs and send replacement parts for free. Eunorau reserves the right the change this term without any confirmation from the customer.

Covered Products:

  • This warranty applies only to products, parts, and components that have been manufactured, assembled, or sold in new condition.
  • This warranty applies only to replacement repair of products in case of a manufacturing flaw, in materials, or workmanship, in accordance with the Scope of Warranty Service, and subject to all exclusions, limitations, and procedures explained below.
  • This warranty applies only to the original buyer of the Velowave bicycle and is not transferable under any circumstances. The original buyer refers to the buyer who can provide the order number.
Warranty Period: 2 Years (refer to warranty period start date listed in each category below)
  • Battery packs: are covered for a 2-year Warranty from the date of original retail purchase or up to 300 charging cycles, whichever occurs first. The batteries are designed to retain up to 75% of their original capacity during that time.
  • Other electronic components: including the motor, controller, display, charger, and throttle are covered under a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.
  • Bicycle frames: are covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
  • Mechanical components: are covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Please Note: For all products, this warranty period is counted from the date the products were delivered to the buyer unless excluded from warranty or otherwise voided from coverage under
warranty.

New Bike Guarantee - we offer full replacement of defective parts with free shipping within the first (30) days of your bike order (Velowave will confirm shipping procedures to the customer must follow only if the customer complies with the first (30) days limit). Please Note: Apart from manufacturing defects that could be present, parts that wear due to normal use such as:

Bearings
Brake Pads
Chains
Free Hub Bodies
Handlebar Grips
Rubber moving parts
Shifter, brake cables and casings
Spokes
Sprockets
Stripped threads/bolts
Tools
Transmission gears

are not included in the warranty but may be replaced on a case-by-case basis within the first (60) days (Velowave will determine the next course of action after discussing the situation with the customer). Velowave shall not be liable for a customer installing, operating, cleaning, or maintaining the customer’s ebike without following the provided owner’s manual instructions. Misuse, abuse, alteration, and natural disasters are not included in this warranty.

Note: No official warranty is provided for used e-bikes.
